Author: Ze-Hong He - Voltage is the most important output characteristic of fuel cell and has great influence on the performance of fuel cell. Voltage control helps to maintain stable operation of the fuel cell and avoid performance degradation due to voltage fluctuations.
In this paper, a fuzzy neural network PID(FNN-PID) control method is adopted. The PID controller is used to regulate the hydrogen flow and control the output voltage of PEMFC to the given value. The fuzzy neural network PID controller is obtained by using the fuzzy neural network to optimize the three parameters of the PID controller, thus further improving the control effect. The performance of FNN-PID temperature control is verified by simulating the step change of current. The results show that the adopted method has the advantages of fast convergence speed, good dynamic performance and strong anti-interference ability, which can effectively improve the voltage control stability and response speed of air-cooled PEMFC, and reduce the absolute integral error by 25.6%.
